| just got back from viewing "Stuey". i was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the film. Michael Imperioli is superb as Stuey. the writing and directing is excellent. Over 100 people got turned away, my wife got the last seat, I had to sit in the aisle. They had to schedule a second showing for Friday night. The poker boom marches on. | ||

As of the start of the festival the film did not yet have a distributor, but i dont think theres any question they will find one.Whether its shown in mainstream or art houses remains to be seen, but its no more of a downer than " Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" the adapationof Hunter Thompson's book. He will be featured at the closing of the festival for fans of "gonzo" journalism. Incidentally a 3rd showing was scheduled for today due to the high demand and the people who got turned away yesterday. Very poor planning by the festival organizers | ||
