| I had pocket kings 4 times and all 4 times I found myself up against pocket aces. I lost 3 of the 4 hands. At one point, I didn't have crap for almost an hour and had A-K twice in a row. Had terrible cards all day long but played well and only lost a little. Wonder what the odds are with me have K-K and someone else having A-A 4 times? | ||

| Slick, Was that in a live game or were you playing on-line? (not that it's realitive or anything), I'm just curious. I'm sorry that happened to you. It sucks and that is what I call a "cold deck".(a hand strong enough to play but not good enough to win). And a cold deck happens in frequencies or so it seems, and there's nothing you can do about it. That is odd though. Not sure exactly how odd(math people jump in here for a moment), but odd nonetheless. Better luck,Slick. 4P- | ||

Things like that can happen, but 4 times in a row- you have KK and lose to AA? I'm sorry, that just doesn't wash with me sometimes. I know the whole thing is through a random generator, blah, blah, blah, and I too play on-line, but..... whatever. (I find that when I play Omaha, the weirdness that you talk about, is not there like it is in the hold-em games-don't know why, but it isn't) Better luck. Get out of that funk. | Hey Big- I was at the B&M last night, and a guy at the other end of the table had KK twice in a row and JJ the next two hands and lost all four to over pairs. The game was shorthanded, too, which makes it even weirder because those holdings are usually so strong shorthanded. About 10 minutes later, he won a small pot, and the guy he beat showed him KK to make him feel better. We all got a pretty good laugh over that! :) It was a very weird night overall... | well it's one of those weird things I've been talking about for sometime about online poker. It's something I saw once or 2 or 3 times in 6 months in B&M play. But at paradise I saw it so often it was ridiculous. I just play the sit n go's there now. | ||

| Ya know, this post got me thinking about my session last night, so I went back and checked my play records. I missed a few hands, but got most of them down, and here's a weird trend I noticed yesterday: I played for ten hours; approx 450 hands. I get dealt Ax suited or Kx suited 40 times (that sounds like a lot to me...). Only twice did the flush draw come on the flop, and neither completed. I remember joking at one point that I could hear Seinfeld's Soup Nazi in my head yelling "No flush for you!" -Moz "Hey, your schwartz is as big as my schwartz." | ||

| Side note: I did win one flush last night, but only had one of that suit in my hand and had to play four on the board. I had a second like that, but it was a smaller flush, and I folded to the nut flush on the river (I was drawing to a boat that never came). -Moz "Hey, your schwartz is as big as my schwartz." | ||

| Barring you have two suited cards, your odds on hitting the four-flush on the flop are about 8-1. (or to say it will occur about 10.9% of the time) I was just on Party Poker playing in a free money single table tourney, and there was a player names "TheMoz".
