| Has anyone here been a member of PokerSchool Online? I'm having trouble finding mistakes in my game and was wondering if that would be a good place to learn. Thanks, beigs | ||

| I doubt it is really worth what they charge. I think you'd be better of buying a few good books. -X Writer www.pokerev.com | ||

| I've never heard of that site. is it a site that costs money? I think you might be better off in investing in some really good books, keep playing in the lower limit games so you can gain experience, and pay close attention to what you feel to be informative and helpful right here on the UPF. | I was a member there for a while. There's good information and lots of opportunity to practice playing tournaments. When I left, though, there was very little focus on ring games. Also, the forums there had great information until the owner of the site (Mark N. something) went all gestapo and started banning people and deleting posts when people wrote about online cardrooms other than the ones he was promoting. It also felt a lot like the school was just a front for testing his own cardroom software. The concept was really great, but it eventually wasn't worth the $15 a month I was paying. The best thing about it was all the poker players I met and am still good friends with online. | ||

| Hi there, I love PokerSchool, great value, Daniel, Jennifer, Lou (all teachers) there, great audio & classrooms, great games and of course the Sponsorship points for real tournaments. I should say why don't you give it a try, it is worth every penny. :-) luck | ||

| PSO is a great place to get your feet wet if you are a beginner. The primary focus is on tournaments, so if this isn't your interest you're wasting your time (and money). Their claim of "play money, real competition" is about 90% accurate. I found the copetition to be very similar to that of low buy-in single table sit-n-go tournaments. I was only a member for about a week before I decided it wasn't worth my time, (they did refund my money per their 2 week trial offer, I'm not sure if that is still available). I wrote a review at that "other" forum, the link is below. There is some great counter-point throughout the thread (so read the whole thing), I actually recant some of the things I said in my review. Hope this helps :-) http://www.twoplustwo.com/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=inet&Number=245222&Forum=inet&Words=poker%20school%20online&Match=Entire%20Phrase&Searchpage=0&Limit=25&Old=allposts&Main=245222&Search=true#Post245222 peace, jHE | ||
