| A note of thanks to all who have helped me with NL (Andrew, stdioh, 4POKER and others). Yesterday, I made my 1st final table on Party and finished 8th out of 126. Not a huge cash, but I was quite pleased with the result and am now hungrier than ever to win one. Again, couldn't have done it without all of the great advice on this forum, so everyone here shares in the success. Steve | ||

| Steve, Congratulations to you buddy; nice finish. I knew you had it in you... next year you're coming out for the WSOP, no excuses! Heck, who knows, maybe you can win a seat for the big one by playing one of those tourneys on-line. Again, congrats and continued success always. Dave | ||

| Thanks Dave. I will keep going with it and see where it leads. NL has re-energized me a bit and given some of the excitement back that seemed to be missing from the limit games. Someday I will play in the Big One (it's on my list of "things to do before I die"), but next year is probably out of the question. Give me five more years of practice/learning and maybe... | Thanks Andrew. BTW, your last message to me about the A5s hand was instrumental in my strategy yesterday. I threw away a lot more starting hands using the 30% rule than I otherwise would have which allowed me to survive in the tourny. After all, you can't win at the end if you don't survive protecting your chips to get there. Top 3 is the goal with being the winner the preference! | ||
