| I keep losing my connection. I dunno... maybe since they we're featured on the Travel Channel tonight they should have prepared for extra traffic? Hey, there's a thought. But what do I know. I flopped trip J's in a 3 bet pre-flop hand only to lose my connection. I had very eager bettors too... I raked in a $50 pot but with two more betting rounds to go it would have easily been $100. Arg! I'm done for the night. Too much hassle. | ||

| When I first logged on, I caught a pair of Kings on the button. Someone raised before me and I made it 3 bets to go. The BB folded but the SB called. The flop came 3-4-5. The SB bets. "Uh-oh", I'm thinking. Did he come in with A-2? I raise and he calls - so did the original raiser. The next card is a Q. He checks, the other guy checks and I check. The last card is a 9. The SB bets, the other guy folds and I bet in case the guy was betting on the come and missed (If he hadn't of checked on the turn, I wouldn't have called the bet). Well, he went 3 bets in the SB with 3-4 and took the pot down. A few days ago, this would have really upset me. But this is the "New and Improved" Big_Slick. I laughed it off thinking of the money this guy was gonna lose tonight. Anyways, the point to my post is this... Thanks to the Travel Channel, the fish are out at Party Poker! And I hope they win just enough to stick around for a few days. | ||

| Party Poker is having major connection issues over the past several weeks. They just aren't prepared to handle all the heavy traffic. I like playing there because there is alot of action, but the connection issues are really becoming a bother. | ||

| Following up on your "fish" comment. I lost over $100 at the 3-6 table because of "fish" playing any "any ace any price" and "it ain't over till the river" I suffered so many bad beats that I was thinking deep in mind (like most people do when they are getting trashed) this game is fixed. Well today at the 2-4 I won back the $100 and then some, but the swings were amazing. I would be up $200 then down $100. The biggest headache I have with online games is the "fish" aren't around long enough to catch in the act. They sit down play 20 hands and vanish, just when you get them figured out. Oh well. We'll keep plugging away. "Hey Sully remember when I said I was going to kill you last?" "I lied" | ||

| You need to make it expensive for these bozos when they are drawing to straights, flushes and anything else. When you have the lead, don't let up. Raise, re-raise, check-raise.. whatever it takes. That way, when your hands do stand up, you'll be making up for the times they draw out on you. | ||

| As far as the fish leaving after you figure them out. Add them to your buddy list. When you log in, it tells you if they are logged in. All you need to do is to check the tables and find which one(s) they are swimming at. | ||

| Yes Moz, You were required to change the quote on a weekly basis!(LOL) I guess as long as you fill me in as to what movie you are quoting from than that is ok, too. I'm not much of a movie buff and this is one area where I pale in comparioson to everyone else! Thanks for the great quotes as well as your posts...I enjoy them both. Have a great day. 4 POKER | ||

| Hey Big_Slick, if you want to get some of your money back, send a refer-a-friend from partypoker.com to yeomanator@earthlink.net. I plan on opening an account, I think it's worth $50 to you (and $25 to me :o) | ||

| Hi Yeoda, That's very cool of you. I submitted your name. You should be getting an email from them. Here are the terms and conditions set up by Party Poker... http://www.partypoker.com/tell_a_friend/taf_terms_conditions.html I think you'll enjoy playing on-line. I was a little hesitant and put it off for a few months. Then one day I decided it was time to take the plunge. | ||

| Got the invite and I signed up. They rejected all my credit cards, so I'll need to do a different deposit type. I had no idea it was so crowded. I'll probably play 1/2 rooms and tourney's. I like playing my turbo texas holdem, but sometimes it is just too predictable... I need some knucklehead to throw me a curve ball every so often :o) | ||

| Got the money deposited. Know what I figured out? I SUCK at NL Holdem. Horrible. Did okay for a while, but the money goes quick when you throw $20 in the pot at a time. I think I'll just do tourney NL, it'll be cheaper that way. Went to limit holdem and I seem to be doing better there. You were right, plenty of knuckleheads. I won't bore you with my bad-beat miracle river card stories. Not yet anyways. | ||

| ...Speaking of Party Poker, I play on that site but haven't played on-line poker in over a month now and a friend of mine told me that they are having serious problems with the site crashing down at least once a day. He told me that on several occasions when he was involved in a hand, that on the last card(and this was seven card stud), that the site simply crashed and instead of awarding the pot to the winning player, all bets that were in the pot were equally distributed back to the players who were involved and what ever money they had lost or won(for that matter) was null and void. What's goin' on here? I don't think I'd feel very comfortable playing there right now and hopefully these glitches will be fixed before I return to play again. 4 POKER | ||

| It was pretty busy last night and there were a few delays, but no outright crashes. I think big_slick said he was playing 3/6 holdem and got bumped, but ended up winning the hand. Maybe they only divi up the money if the whole table crashes... I guess. Either way, I'll be playing at a real table tomorrow. No crashing there, just lots of tilting :o) | ||
