Thought it best to move this out of the poker forum:

"And what of Eddie?"
"That's a very tenuous object."
[Brad gets it. Janet gets it. Dr Scott gets it. Rocky gets it, but he doesn't care.]

It was Field of Dreams. Young kid they picked up on the road (who is also the old doctor) winks at the pitcher, so the pitcher throws two at his head, and Joe Jackson tells him, "He just threw two high and inside. What do you think the next pitch is gonna be?" The kid says, "Low and away?" Joe says, "Either low and away or in your ear. He's doesn't want to put you on base, so I'd look for low and away." Then as the kid is walking back to the plate he says, "...but watch out for 'in your ear!' "

My turn to pose some tough movie quotes:

1. "You can take this pin and hang it in your ass."
2. "Smells like biscuits and gravy."
3. "Crazy messed up kid, that Werner."
4. "That was the man he brought out of the Nefoud. - Ah, it was written then."
5. "When I fight matched pairs they fight to the death."
6. "The last boat I sold was to a sex murderer."
7. "Hey Padre, let me ask you one thing. When I was kicking your ass back ther, did you get a little wood?"
8. "N****r you just f***ed with the wrong bull."
9. "Well hello Mr. Fancypants."
10. "I'm getting a little tired of cutting you up."

If anybody can get 7 of those they earn my respect. Get all 10 and you earn my admiration.

Another Wessley Snipes quote, this time from Blade. Right before he lights Quin on fire.

Here's a couple.

and my personal favorite, though more unknown...2. "Alright, everybody sit tight, hold the fort, and keep the home fires burning. If we're not back by dawn...call the President."

The first quote is actually from the mathematician and writer C.S. Lewis. I can't remember the movie that quoted it, but was it The Usual Suspects?

The second one is easy, "Big Trouble in Little China."

Yeah, The Usual Suspects. I was inspired by our new friend here on the forums.
Correct on number 2, as well. I didn't realize Big Trouble had not become completely forgotten. Sweet.

Are you kidding? I loved that movie growing up. Come to think of it, I should really try to find a copy of it on DVD.
