Just like it says in Rounders... You can shear a sheep many times, but skin it only once.

I got invited to a home game this Friday. I played one time before and won all three satellite games we played that night (the guys are HUGE fish). This was a few months ago. They play 2 or 3 times a month and I would really like to play more in their game. I know that if I win like I did last time - I'll probably never get invited back. Anybody every had to deal with this? Do you dump to them every once in a while? After all - "It is immoral to let a sucker keep his money"

Don't dump to them. Most people in home games are just happy to get people showing up. Play well, beat them, take their money. Be nice and pleasant and polite and make sure that everybody likes having you around. You'll get invited back because you tell funny jokes and everybody likes you. They aren't going to blackball you because you win.

I would say start out by playing your best and then if you are killing the game again and people are getting uncomfortable, then throw in a couple of loose calls and show your cards. As long as you don't fold every hand, they will probably be OK with it. Assuming it is much lower stakes than you are used to, then you can consider this extra loose play the cost of soing business.

Someone once told me that people like to play golf with people who are good at golf. My thoughts are the same for poker .. I think folks lose as much on the course as they do at the table.

But yeah, make it fun for them, and, IMHO, be VERY generous when it comes to buying beer, snacks, etc. Win $50, spend $30 on great snacks, and you'll be invited back forever.

DallasPokerFan beat me to it. If you show up with drinks and munchies, they probably won't care if you're taking their money.
