A while back ( about 3-4 weeks) i posted about my wavering interest in online poker. With spring here, i found it really hard to concentrate and was getting beaten by players i usually dominated.

Well, i am happy to say, i figured out what the problem was. I bought into a few different sites (approx $50 each) to check things out and to play against a diffent line up. I though maybe a change would re-energize me, and i was right.

It was not the site or players that i was getting bored with, it was Hold'em, limit and no limit. I couldn't play disciplined enough to regularly beat hold'em. And i'm still not beating ring games of hold'em, but i'm devouring some other games. I've been making a killing in pot limt 7-stud and 5 card stud. (avg 15 BB/hr)

Every once in a while i'll try hold'em again, but i lose interest after about 15 minutes and start playing like sh*t. But i recognize it after one or two plays and find a more interesting game.

I know i can still play hold'em ( i won a no limit tournament), but i don't have the patience for it online. Even when i'm winning, i don't win nearly as much as i do in some other games.

I wanted to thank everyone who responded to my first post who said to take time off or try another game. I did both and it has really helped.

Mark
