| I've been looking at the tournament simulations available for computers. Does anyone have any opinion about which ones they like, and why? I've looked somewhat at Tournament Texas Hold'em for Windows, Turbo Texas Hold'em for Windows, and World Series of Poker Adventure. I've noticed a big price difference between the 3 of them, and I'm curious as to why. Any help is greatly appreciated as always. Thanks! -Cade | ||

| Tournament Texas Holdem allows you to simulate tounaments to play in. You can set the structure and number of starting tables, etc. This one is for you to test your skills of tournament play. Turbo Texas Holdem is for simulating ring games. You can set up structures, select a number of player line-ups to play against, types of players. You can stack the deck to test various hands in various positions. It will report anything you want to know about your game, from how you played to what your hourly profit/loss is. It can even tell you the value of your hands you started with, per hand. You can run auto-play simulation (fast too... I get about 6 million hands an hour). It will also teach you how to play the game in many different styles if you choose. There is a heck of a lot you can do with this program. The major 'weak-link' in this program is the documentation. It leaves a lot to be desired, especially how to take advantage of advanced features. But, the information is there. It is all in the 'readme' file on the installation disk. The little manual that comes with the software give a general overview of the program. That readme file is the guts. The third program you mentioned... I have no experience with. If you want to practice your tournament skills, get Tournament Texas Holdem. If you want to hone your ring game skills and explore almost any situation that may come up, then Turbo is the program. It will also teach you the game, providing you already know how to play the game. Just my 2 cents...and keep the change. :) ran- Official Hackee Sak to the Poker Gods | ||
