If you don't have an account at Partypoker you must not like money. If there are any better 24 36 games on the planet right now someone needs to drop me a line here. Variance is out of sight now so if you can't handle some big swings you should probably stay away but if you can come join the fun. I'm losing overall this weekend due to some horrific beats but I am still smiling because these games are incredible.

I agree. I am only playiong there right now, generally at 3-6.

Yesterday I lost in a pot (with two pair) to someone who played 85o from EP and made the 467 straight on the river. Unreal...

That's funny; I know a regular at my casino who will raise the blind on 85o every time he gets it, and always seems to draw the inside straight or the boat. Really bizzarre. The odd part is, aside from 85o, he's a really solid player; tight and aggressive and always winning.

Possibly he has chosen 85o as his random variance cards as per the chapter on game theory in Sklansky's book, Theory of Poker. If you haven't read it, or don't remember it, ... give it another read. It is keeping me awake evenings thinking about it ... www.partypoker.com is a great site though I am spending most of my time qualifying for the WPO qualifying tournament at www.bugsysclub.com

Thanks flint. I had forgotten about that chapter.

However, I am confident that this particular individual had no idea what he was doing. I saw him drag in another big pot with J3o from UTG when he spiked a J on the river for two pair (the board was AQ38J). Unfortunately for me, I had to leave the table before I could get some of that $$ back!!

Hard to believe what cards people turn over. Especially after tremendous preflop raising and reraising.

you would think the wiz kids at Planet would jump on the bandwagon and start handing out some free money coupons to their loyal real money customers who post here all the time and hold up their low limit games.

They have an offer right now.
They are offering a 50% , that's right - 50%, to open a new cash account. Maximum bonus is $50.00. You have to play 250 raked hands ( I figure about 5 hours of play) and then they will turn it over to you. They did not say anything about bet limit except tournaments and play money don't count.

I could be wrong, so check it out for yourselves. :)
