My friends and I just finished playing in a no limit poker tournament. High stakes. The 5 of us each put in a dollar and the winner took all. After eliminating the 3 others my friend and I were heads up for about 3 hours or more of play. I have never done that before. It was amazing. The amount of subtle strategies we used on each other over the course of those hours and the way the game momentum ebbed and flowed and how our bluffs and our traps worked to force the other player to play in a different manner was amazing. Afterwards while talking about it my friend compared it to a boxing match and I thought it was a really neat analogy. We had the original group of friends walking in and commenting on how, "you guys still here?" and making comments like, "you do realize it is only a dollar..." but we didn't care about the cash we just wanted to win. That is my story. Hope it wasn't a waste of your time.

Indeed, no limit heads up play is an exact art and a subtle science, to paraphrase from Harry Potter.
