The damn site went down around 11:00 PM tonight. Really annoying. I was seriously in the fish tank and ready to win a ton (although a particularly loose fish had pulled inside straights 2x in a row against my QQQ (A-Qs in the hole) and my Big Slick. The Big Slick hit high pair on the flop with an Ace but gave him an inside straight draw which he hit with K-3 off suit (called from an early position).

A few tough beats, but these were "loans" that I was about to easily recoup against this fish (who was in every hand). And then the site went down!!

Obviously Pokerroom was losing thousands by the minute, but sheesh. Really pisses you off.

Any other sites ever have this problem?

Yeah, I have to admit that Party Poker also has similar problems.
I can't tell you how many times they close down and announce that the tables are being closed for maintenance. it's a real pain in the butt and sometimes it takes an hour or so before you are able to play again, and sometimes when you do try and go back to the same table, the game has already been filled. I don't know why there isn't a system that would at least give you first dibbs in playing in the game in which you were booted off of, but it has happened to me, many of times.

It is very frustrating, I agree with you.
I just enjoy Party Poker so much because I have profitted so much from that site that I guess I am willing to put up with the "Kinks" in their site.

One thing I'd like to mention...there has been times when I was losing while they had closed the tables and actually felt blessed that this has occured at this so-called horrible time. You see, it is when we are losing that we just want to keep playing and hope that all the hands will play out really fast so we can go on to the next one. We find ourselves in a rush to get to the next hand because we're losing and we so desperately want to win.
Well I can speak for myself and say that that break I was given because Party Poker had to close their tables was a "Good" break for me-it gave me a chance to re-group, and go over in my head what I was doing wrong. Sometimes we don't even take notice to how poorly we are playing until we stop!

Oh well, Hang in there and if you find this to be too distracting and are not happy with Pokerroom than try a different site- it can't hurt to have a back-up place to play at, you know?

Better luck.

Party Poker did that last night. It took forever to get back on. All the fishies swam away. I have noticed that on UB I seem to suffer a number of internet delays. Good and bad on all i guess.

I've been playing at pokerroom for some time, and usually their server seems very reliable, I wonder what happened?
