Thanks for the info. I will keep a sharp eye out for the desperate people, and I am sure I will be able to spot the Pros real quick in the 50-100 game. I may try 20-40 for a couple days and then move up to 50-100. Will the locals play short handed? Thanks again and I will let you know how I do.

Hey Benzman,

Yes, the local pro's will play short-handed if that is your preference.(in fact, the pro's that play at the $50 limit and up prefer to play against a shorter field so keep that in mind).
But the game will more than likely be full if you get there on the weekend.

The good thing about the $50-100 game is, the table(location in cardroom) where this game is usually played at, will allow you to have a good view of it from the rail so you'll be able to scope out your competition for a little while before sitting down in the game.

I think you're going to find that the pots in the $20-40 game are pretty big compared to the pots in the 50 game.(this game/limit will tend to be much more aggresive with many more loose players seeing the flop, and the $20-40 game is ALWAYS full).

Sometimes the problem with the $50-100 game is, the players who normally play $20-40 take a shot in the $50 game and their play seems to become tighter and more disciplined.
Then you have the real solid hold-em players who may normally play in the higher limits but are unable to find a higher game going at the time. So what they will do is sit in the $50-100 game and will tend to play just a little bit more aggressive but will still be making correct plays/moves against their opponents.(there are a lot of pro's in A.C. and there's quite a few of them that have a real good hold-em game).
But, like any game you wish to play in, just watch it for a while first and then decide if you think it's worth your time.

P.s. I will be curious to know which game you'll find to be the most profitable for you only because that $20-40 game is always jammin'
no matter what day of the week it is!

Good luck.

Hey,

Yes, I am a regular at the Taj, I live 10 minutes from A.C.(in one of the nicer areas I'd like to add,LOL) but right now I am in Las Vegas and will be traveling back and forth from vegas and California until the middle of September.

The best time to be in Atlantic City is the summertime so I think you will be quite pleased with the game selections there.
There are just so many tournaments out here between Vegas and Cali that I feel that I have to be here for at least the side action if nothing else.

If you have any more questions about A.C. feel free to ask them,I'll help you with whatever I can.
