| How do you change percentages to odds?Someone told me subtract the % from 100 and then divide the answer by that same %. Let's say flopping an open ended straight draw is 8%. Does that mean it's 11.5 to 1. Also, I heard flopping a pair only after the flop is about 2 to 1. Then, I heard it was about 3 to 1.Which is correct,if any? | ||

| Here's a simple way to look at it: If your percentage is 25%, then the odds are 100:25... divide both numbers by the lower: 100/25 = 4 and 25/25 = 1, so the odds are 4:1 So, in your example, if the percentage is 8%, then you have 100:8... 100/8 = 12.5 and 8/8 = 1, so the odds are 12.5:1 (or 13:1 rounded) -Moz | ||

| You are almost correct my friend, I have inserted the needed corrections. >>Here's a simple way to look at it: >>If your percentage is 25%, then the odds are 100:25... Divide both numbers by the lower: 100/25 = 4 and 25/25 = 1, so the odds are 4:1 If your percentage is 25%, then the odds are 75:25... aka 25/100 = 1/4...... 75:25 or 3:1 >>So, in your example, if the percentage is 8%, then you have 100:8... 100/8 = 12.5 and 8/8 = 1, so the odds are 12.5:1 (or 13:1 rounded) 8/100 = 12.5% or 11.5:1 Subtracting one from the denominator and replacing the bar with a colon is all there is to it. >>-Moz -Game 4 Fun | ||

| Ahhh, thank you! I did not think it through completely before I sent it off. Of course, I was not wrong, only mistaken. ;-) -Moz | ||
