| So what is the deal with getting together a UPF posters tourney? Roy and Mike, have you found out for sure whether or not Planet wants to get involved with this? Should I look into getting UB to do it? Finally, who wants to play? I would suggest that everybody who wants to play this tourney responds to this thread with exactly two pieces of information preferred buy=in (range) and prefered online site to play it. Then we can figure the details and then find out what times are best for everybody. | ||

| I would definitely WANT to play, however, I'm one of those weird MAC users who only plays at pokerroom.com because it's a Java-based site. What's worse is it's a G3 so I can't get the PC emulation software to run fast enough. :( Damn, I guess I need to get a PC. I just hate donating to the Bill Gates monopoly. | ||

| I would love to play a tourney with the posters here if it wasn't for big money, otherwise I just want to hear the results! Honestly there are a lot better games to get involved with money wise than seeking out a game with people actively trying to improve their skills (which describes most of the posters here). But I think it would be fun, and I would be interested in being at a table watching the play of many of the posters here. So I probably wouldn't play a tourney with more than a $50 buy in. Currently I'm playing at PokerStars, but I would play most card rooms. Jav | ||

| I'm up for anything up to a $50 buy-in. Limit, No Limit, or Omaha Split. I'm only on at pokerroom and empire. These other boys 'n girls need to give you a $ number, don't they? I'm afraid you aren't going to get many. If you look up and down the posts, you're talking 15 regulars MAX. Good luck, and thanks for spearheading this effort. We may just end up organizing a weekly "(pick a day) evening game at (pick a site) at exactly (pick a time)" and then everyone logs on and keeps their eyes open for each other.....first 10 get to get in will play for bragging rights for the next week. Hey, you gotta start somewhere!!! | ||

| I'd play up to $50 buy in, but would prefer lower (20 or 30 maybe). The site we play at doesn't matter to me, whoever wants to host it is fine. Lee | ||

| I would love to play. Unfortunately, and for reasons that are far to complicated and boring to explain, I don't think that I will be able to. Nevertheless, I think that a UPF tourney is a splendid idea. I really hope that it flies. Snorbolus | ||

| Here's a thought, maybe Roy Cooke and Mike Caro would be kind enough to play with us in the tournament. I would love to have a chance to play with two of the greats. | ||

| I would definately be interested in playing. If it goes, I could see my way up to a $50 buy-in, but would also prefer something a little smaller. I normally play at UB, and occasionally PokerStars. If you have it somewher else, I will just need some time to set up an account and get my $$ deposited. | ||

| I like that idea, but I don't know if enough people can spend $20 per week to try to make the WSOP. Hmmmm....interesting though. Maybe if the regular ones become popular we could start a satelite format or something. | ||

| Buy-in from $20 to $50 for any form of hold'em. Prefer Planet Poker as the host. Might consider Omaha-8 limit or pot-limit, and possibly Stud-8 limit. | ||

| $50 or less seems to be almost consensus. That's fine with me, I'd definately like to play against some of you here, but like many others I feel more money would make it a bit less desireable. This wouldn't exactly be the most profitable game, but for practice, etc. it would be intriguing. That, and playing against some of you would give a whole new perspectives to your posts, as I would be able to apply what I observe of your style to what you say. | ||
