| Friendly home game needs help. No Limit Texas Hold 'Em If you can afford the ante, but you cannot afford the blind, are you allowed to play? If you're not allowed to play, where do your "left over" chips go? Who gets them? Thanks in advance! | ||

| You're just in a VERY SMALL side pot. But why are you playing NL if you're so short-stacked? Bring out more money or go home | ||

| Take the short stacked blind, combine it with anyone that calls the full blind amount (everyone else doesn't get a discount because he's shortstacked) and set it aside. Only set aside the shortstack amount from each player that's in. Take the remainder of the full blind and put it into the working pot for the rest of the hand. The shortstacked fella sits and waits for the hand to end, then immediately shows to see if he's still alive. on 15. | It is an all-in like any other with a side-pot like any other. If it is a cash game you might want to make some rules about it though, for the sake of flow of the game. If it is a tournament, you just have to look at it this way. If they player has 1 chip, and there are 5 players preflop, then the player gets 5 chips out of the pot if he wins and the rest gets sidepotted. Even if the player only has half an ante, same thing. It is whatever he has got left. | ||
