| I tend to play very conservatively which serves me well in tournament holdem play. However, when the field narrows down to 2 or 3 players including myself, the blinds tend to suck me dry. Obviously I need to reevaluate my starting hands at that point of the tourney. What crireria should be applied at this point? Thanks | ||

| Everything is relative to your stack size, the size of the blinds, and the payout of the prizes. If your talking about the ten handed sit in goes online where the payout is 50%,30%,20%, you should be playing pretty loose and aggressive when it gets to three handed. Now you are really trying to attack for first place since you have third locked up. Of course you should also stay out of the way if possible (unless your hand is really good) if one of the other players is going to knock the other out. But to give you some idea of the hands you should play. If it is three handed in one of these and you all have equal stack sizes, you should raise from the button with hands as weak as K9off and Kx suited virtually every time. And any hand will do against opponents who will fold their blinds too much. -X Writer www.pokerev.com | ||

| That is a subject on which a book can be written. In general, play looser. Play more made hands and less drawing hands. Something like 22 goes way up in value whilst something like 5h6h goes way down in value. If there is a small stack, push him around. If you are a giant stack, sit back and let the other two bust eachother up. If you are a small stack, be prepared to push all-in with any ace or any pair if needs must. | ||
