| I really enjoyed tonight's show- it was good to get back to the darker aspect of the story. This one might be the first one that I DIDN'T think should be a half-hour.... maybe 40 minutes would have been good. Also liked to see some more of the desperate, degenerate elements of Lucky's personality come out. The Chinese? couple's "LUCKY!" was a bit over the top. Anyone else bothered by the obvious car switch (black/white matchup) that I knew was coming? Was that really necessary? Was anyone keeping track of Lucky's bankroll? Did he end up with any money to cover the loan and vig? Oh, and he shouldn't have given the money to the loudmouth. But that scene brought up the point again- if he is SUCH a magician at reading people, why can't he read HIMSELF? Ending was a little weak, maybe, but with the 1/2 hour limit it wasn't too bad. No poker this week! For this show, that was a good thing. | ||

| Hate to come on like a sourball but this show sucks. It does a dis-service to all gamblers by making us all to be compulsive losers. Also, I seriously doubt any problem gambler would have have the control and discipline that it would take to win a major poker championship. The show also does a dis-service to the 5% of gamblers who are compulsive by glamorizing their sick behavior. | ||

| Some good points- I ranted about the image problem way back when I "reviewed" the first episodes. I've heard TJ Cloutier has problems staying in the black, due to his craps and sports betting plays.... he might be an exception to your "problem gambler can't win poker tournament" statement? Ignore the irritation from the "gamblers are bad" image- if that weren't there, would you like the show or not? | ||
