| Things that are 2nd nature to some, could be very useful to others. Cards speak for themselves, chips don't. If you want to raise preflop, you either have to say Raise, or bet in a combination of chips that makes it obvious. I meant to raise a 200 blind to 500 in NLHE Tourney at the Mirage, but I only threw in one 500 chip. 300 in change was made and the hand played out to me losing to a set on the river as I was betting 10-10 into the big blind holding 9-6 suited. Ruined my entire tourney as I put him all-in and he called after flopping 9-4-3. Yes, he was a moron, but he took me for over 1000 that hand, and that's why I wanted his chips and him gone. Secondly, Omaha H/L........might as well just put your cards down and not speak. They won't listen to what you say. I called 10's and 9's after flopping them, but won with my queen making the straight on the river. Was glad to look stupid while stacking my winnings. | ||
