| Hi all: I am very new at playing poker and definitely consider myself a student of the game. I am still learning all the terminology that goes along with the game. I signed up yesterday to play for real money and received a deposit bonus. The stipulation to receive this money was to play a certain number of raked hands. I sat in on 50 hands, however when I checked my bonus account I was only credited with 34. Are there times when a pot is not raked? If so how can I tell when a hand is raked and when it is not? Thanks for your input. | ||

| Most sites have a no flop no drop policy. Check the site's website to see their rake policy and you'll then know if a pot is over a certain size that there is a rake. Also, many sites have a graphical representation of the rake by where the 'dealer' is. -X Writer www.pokerev.com | ||

| Thanks, They do have a pot limit before they rake. It makes perfectly good sense. | ||
