| Hi there!!! I started playing online poker about 2 years ago. I played at Party Poker and was lucky enough to win 2 seats to the first Party Poker Million Cruise. No I didn't win!! I was the first bum knocked out of the final's. Sure it hurt, but it still was the best time I ever had! Plus I sold the second seat for $6,500! I just recently have become totally disgusted with online poker and deleted everything. I can play in the low limit games of hold'em and do fairly well! But everytime I have tried the 10-20 and 15-30 games it "seems" that the random generator isn't so random!!!! I am not taking about a 5 or 10 sessions, I am talking about almost everytime in the last two years I have tried these stakes. I understand the game and know you can have those days and at times weeks of bad beats, but the last time was the final blow!! How many times can players go to "Ol' Man River" and beat a "Fish named Chingy." Great hands do get beat, but not every time. I was so disgusted I deleted everything to do with Party Poker, but miss many of the great people there. Do I go back and just play low limit games, when in my mind I feel the high stake games random generator is "NOT" so random. Anyone else run across situations that have turned you off to online poker. Curious to hear any thoughts about these so called random generators!!! Is there any way for players to know that online poker software is truly on the level!!!!!!! Maybe I should just stick to the 5-10 and lower games, I'd be a big winner, instead of being so disgusted with online poker!!!! Take Care, The Real Mush from the Bronx! | ||

The thing is, why would they risk getting caught and go out of business when they're already making tons from rake? In reality, there's no such thing as a completely random number generator. However, the generators used are pretty darn close. If you don't feel comfortable playing online poker, I would say don't do it. In the end, it's a personal decision, and I'd think that even if 50 people came and said they've had no problems, you'd still have some doubts. Lee | ||

| Thanks Lee for the response! Looks like I'll stick to the low limits and enjoy the game! Maybe I'll even try another site for the higher limit games and see if "Ol Man River" is really blind! True the rake is great, but even stockbrokers who make millions sometimes can't help themselves! Greed is a monster, trust me I know, first hand!! And I'm not talking about a "deal" with 52 cards in the deck! Jokers are in every aspect of life's games, especially when money is the reward! | ||
