| I just got knocked out of the 10K Warm-Up, 2nd Round, over at PokerPages. I had a queen in the hole when the board flopped Q-Q-10. Me and this other guy go all in. He has 10-J. The board fills in with 8-9 to give him the gut-shot draw. I'm out of the tourny. I got knocked out yesterday with pocket 8's. I went all in on a guy who I figured was on tilt. He had lost 2 big bets in a row and then raises me all in on his third hand. He has 5D - 6D and proceeds to hit a flush to knock me out. Oh well... them are the knocks, right? At least it was for free and not for the green stuff. I can say that I played well and stuck to my game plan. A different card here and there would have been a lot of help. But if you always won, where would the challenge be? Can anyone recommend a good book on hold-em tourny play? Thanks, lee | ||
