| well I live in LA calif. and have played in vegas, foxwoods, and the LA scene. Unfortunately I in socal I find so many good tough unpredictable players even at the middle limits. So I guess my vote goes for LA socal area. I've never played in south america or europe so I can't say | ||

| I think that may depend on the actual game itself. For instance, seven card stud is the game of choice % wise on the east coast (Foxwoods&Atlantic City), where I think hold-em is the game of choice in Vegas and the midwestern states. In Europe, there game of choice is pot limit and no limit so I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't real strong in these two games. Out of all the card rooms that I have played in throughout the U.S., I find California to be the best, hands down. I find the players there to be very aggresive and the action and the game selections are phenominal! I'm not saying that there aren't great players in California, it has just been my personal experience that if I were to move to a different state to play poker in, that would be the one for me. I think Las Vegas has the worst games to play in (compared to all the rest, don't take this too personal, Roy), there's just too many pro's. 4 POKER | ||

| just look at the final 28 at the world poker tour championship and WSOP it will become clear to you that the worlds best tourney players in any game live right here in Southern NV. As far as the best ring game players in any limit and game it is undoubtable that the majority of the toughest players live in ... you guessed it Southern NV. As far as the worst players in any limit or game...... you guessed right again Southern NV. If you really want to test your meddle as a poker player you come to ... Southern NV. | ||

| Well, I can tell you that there are a lot of terrible players in Southern Ontario and Vancouver and I hear that the games in Alberta and Nova Scotia are soft too. There are some tough high quality players, of course, but there are more than enough fish to go around in these parts. So I would say that Canada wouldn't come close to topping a list of hotspots for tough poker players. | ||

| It only makes sense to me that the toughest players will all be experts at table selection, and hence be sitting at and mopping up the softest games. So all the rest of us who are striving to be great should follow these guys around, sit down with them and then avoid them :O) (All this being said, I have no idea where the toughest games in the world are, and frankly I don't care. Why would I want to be playing in these, anyway?) | ||

| Good point, hun. But don't forget that a soft table for Phil Hellmuth could contain 8 players that can kick your and my arse around the poker lounge. | ||
