| I would like to see more discussion of general strategy and theory. Individual hand analyses are great, they let us apply theory to real situations, but I still think it is useful to revisit broad concepts once in a while. I would also like to see more discussion of gambling theory as it relates to poker. Thanks | ||

| Hi Roy, I'd like to see you post some hands that you've played, and go through your thought process as to how and why you played a hand the way did. I think discussions like this from top players like yourself would be very beneficial. on 28. | I like this forum very much. There are a nice mix of topics discussed and the quality of posts is very high. I have a great deal of respect for the opinions of the regular posters here. One thing that might make a nice addition to the forum would be some mini-biographies of regular posters, perhaps even with small pictures. Snorbolus | ||

| I'd like to focus more on the psychology of poker, I find it very interesting and would love read someone's post about this subject. I don't mean to put anyone on the spot but... I have a feeling that Nathaniel and Studioh might be good candidates for this post. I'd also be quite interested as to hear the views of the new players as well; they seem to have a fresh approach to the game. 4 POKER 4 POKER | ||

Although there is great merit in strategy (I certainly am not finished learning), I would like to see more posts on subjects that surround poker. More specifically, the professionals who have wives and children, posting on coming to grips with the difficulties of juggling an awkward profession with family life. I am guessing that those who have survived this trial by fire, have learned a great deal that might be helpful for those muddling through the wasteland that exists between amateurs and pro's. This (by definition) is a personal subject and may require some honest reflection, but I think it could prove beneficial to those who share in your dream/hobby/job/sport/whatever. Even though this probably falls under "Not Quite Poker," it is something I have a great deal of interest in. - Nathaniel Brous

| I'm a newbie, so I really like to see the thought processes involved in the play of specific hands. It helps my mind to work that way. Although, there really aren't any topics that I don't enjoy reading (except the annoying scam posts). They're all helpful in one way or another. | ||

| i would really like to see more hand analysis. Jim Brier used to start alot of threads about specific hands. I really liked them, but are seeing less and less of them (other than low limit where stradegies often not apply) mark | ||

In case anyone was curious, I yanked this off the r.g.p. >Ref: Jim Brier >I haven't seen any recent posts on rgp,2+2 or unitedpokerforum. >Anyone know why he stopped posting? Jim returned to school and is working on getting his PHD I think it is. In math, of course. He is very happy about it and enjoying it greatly, but of course it takes away from his poker. He is doing well and very happy about his return to education. - Jan Fisher - Nathaniel Brous

| I would like to see more on the details of playing professionally. Not being a tournament superstar, but grinding it out at the mid-limits. I am considering playing full-time within a year or two depending on a number of factors, but would like to get as much information as possible. Also, I would like to see posts about more unsual questions. Like no limit triple draw strategy or pot limit omaha strategies. I get plenty of general limit texas holdem theory from here and many other sites. One more thing, unique shorthanded and heads up strategy for all games would be great. Thanks, Kid | ||

| The main thing I would like to see is more topics other than Poker and Not Quite Poker. If there were about 8 or so segregated areas, then people would have an easier time finding what they are looking for. | ||

Things tend to get buried when they are compartmentalized and it take longer to navigate. Besides... I rarely come to the forum with an agenda in mind. But if it does happen, why not go with an optional separation function? With a click, they could separate or congeal. So we would post into a particular category but could still view them both ways. I don't know enough about forums to know if that is practical/possible. - Nathaniel Brous

| More "peel the onion" type of poker analysis, where a play is given and what was played, and then reasons built up around it by the players so we can really appreciate the reasoning behind the poker thought process. I think amateurs are interested, the soon-to-be pros, and the pros like the intense, complex analysis of a specific hand. More importantly, the constructive comment afterwards is instructive. | ||

I too would like to see something like that. Perhaps a new group heading, "Hand Analysis" could be started to go along w/ Poker and Not Quite Poker.
