| I started out at www.Partypoker.com and www.ParadisePoker.com, and lately have been having a lot of fun at www.bugsysclub.com. For low limit and to start out, you might want to also consider Planet Poker, since the site attracts a broad range of players. I found that Partypoker was a blast, and attracts a lot of recreational players. Where there are fish, ... there are sharks, and there are some super strong players there too. There is also the big question of on-screen comfort: What the tables look like and how easy is it to play. Far and away the best on-line tables IMO is the new site at www.bugsysclub.com. The "prettiest" where you can order drinks (lol) while playing is www.paradisepoker.com. Great table and friendly atmosphere you have www.partypoker.com. Before you play and open an account, ... make sure you get the benefit of the "new account bonuses". All these sites will give you extra money for signing on IF you have the promotional code. Get the promotional codes from this forum (ask) or check out www.cardplayer.com and some of the many poker websites out there for advertisements. There are usually some pretty good July 4th promotions, so you may want to start with one site, and register for others when the deals are peaking. | I trust Ultimate Bet completely. www.ultimatebet.com I have tonnes of friends who play there and they all get paid when they cash out. UB makes a lot of money and has been in business for a long time so they have a good reputation. That said, they did bounce cheques about a year ago, but they re-issued cheques immediately and they were good, so I don't think that this is huge cause for concern. | ||

| I have only played on UB so far. I like the feel of the tables and the Mini View. Play 3 tables at once. But I am concerned. About 2 weeks ago I requested a $60 withdrawal after taking my $50 to $120 , missed out on any bonuses. :( They sent me an email on the 17th that it had been mailed. Haven't recieved it yet. Emailed support last night but haven't been home to check on a reply. TK PS Have worked it back up to $120. Whoo hoo! Time to play the $1 tables. j/k | ||

| I wouldn't worry about it. Let me know, of course, if you don't get your cheque, but I would say that there is a greater chance of the post office losing it than of UB not sending it. Once thing is certain...their reputation is too good to steal small - if they were going to steal, it would be more than a $100 cheque. | ||

| Just wanted to say that I got my check from Ultimate Bet. Only took 14 days to get here from some place in Canada. Although it is written on a Belize off shore account drawn off a Miama Florida bank. Ain't that neat how that all works. :) TK | ||

| Well, these cardrooms all have their businesses registered in the carribean for tax and legality purposes. It makes sense to use a US bank for currency purposes and Florida is as close to the carribean as you can get in the States. Mailing the cheques from Canada also probably makes sense and the Americans are ramping up to stomp out online gaming whilst Canada is most laid back about it. Glad to hear you got your cheque. | ||

| I missed Ultimatebet, where I play occasionally, and they have been utterly reliable. Their new "Las Vegas View" at their tables is a welcome change from the black background they had before. Their promotions are quite good too, as are their top hands promotion. | ||
