| When you record your time to calculate your earn rate, do you include the times you play in non-money tournaments? I am playing in the PokerPages 10K tournament qualifiers (http://www.pokerpages.com/poker-software/promotions/10k-2003/index.htm) which is free to play in and you qualify weekly for weekend semifinals that qualify you for Finals May 10th. A friend asked me if I was recording this time playing in a freeroll in my earn rate and I realize I wasn't, because it would reduce the earn, since there was no income during that time. In fact, since I am forgoing income to play in this freeroll, I "should" be recording this time and zero income in my earn rate. Any thoughts on this? What do the pros do when they play in freerolls? Very specific question & just curious, since I recall a Daniel Negreanu article where he treats tournaments with fixed entry fees in his earn rate. Thanks for the input! | ||

| You don't expect an earn when you go out to see a movie either (unless you happen to find a twenty under your seat). Consider it entertainment time until the finals where you would be playing for something other than a seat in the next qualifier. I would record only something that has a buy-in, whether tourney or ring game. | ||
