At Antico Holding's "thepokerclub.com" home page or in the pop-up at the poker room, if you click either link, "TODAY" or "more details", it states,

"In 3 1/2 years, we've given away over ONE MILLION DOLLARS in cash. To celebrate, we're putting OVER $100,000 up for grabs this month."

In the PKER-SEC-10-Filings, Antico Holdings, over that same 3 1/2 year period has increased it's debt outstanding to the PKER-shareholders to well above $600k. The most recent PKER-10-K-Filing states,

"Antico has notified us that it has ceased all payments of royalties payable to us..."

So I ask, What exactly is Antico's "thepokerclub" CELEBRATING? Or, who in his/her right mind would be celebrating with them?

good luck cashing out from "thepokerclub"!

I by no means wish to be rude, but maybe this post would be better suited to a business news forum.I appreciate what you are saying but i beleive you have a vested interest in the procedings of this company and the outcome of its future.

I gain a lot from this site regarding how to play better poker and feel that we are losing sight of this forums goal( to develop players game) , as we often do when we discuss on line poker here, with the exception of discussing hands played and viable tactics for play.

Of course i may be wrong and if so my apologies to you and the readers of this site, but i think we should stick to poker play here !

yes chase, you have a point...but if I were to explain all the scenarios of why/why not you should raise, call or fold w/ A-Ko in first position, the conversation would be moot if you had no chance of winning REGARDLESS because someone might not cash you out!

So my point is also most appropo to this forum IMO!

I'm not intending to, but I do intend to keep the facts strait. One of the MAJOR problems in the online-poker-scene today is the way these web-sites ADVERTISE (and remember these are GLOBAL advertisements) or INVITE us to play and "some" have not lived up to their advertisement/invitation.

I owe you one, Chase, and one day I will explain to you the "whys " of "when" you raise, call, or fold (YES FOLD) A-Ko in 1st position.

I have seen several posts addressing the need for multiple forums. I think it would be a great idea and would help us to find the info that we are interested in.

Suggestions could be:

Hand Play
Strategy
Profession/Hobby
Tournaments/Televised Events
Home Poker/Looking for Games
Omaha
Stud
No Limit
(Those last three are going on the assumption that Hand Play may be dominated by limit hold em.)
On-Line Poker
Poker News
General

Just some thoughts!

I don't think that the UPF has enough traffic yet to warrant doing this. Additionally, I like this setup better than the compartmentalization of the 2+2 forum. Here I can quickly scan over headers and look at those that jump out at me. If you don't know what I am talking about spend an hour at twoplustwo.com . A valuable resource for sure, I just don't have that kind of time on my hands [ I already spend too much time here :) ].

An alternate idea that could cater to your needs and my laziness ;) would be agreeing to a set group of prefixes for headers. For instance, ABC, blah blah blah. Examples follow.

WPT, blah blah blah NLHE, blah blah blah OLP, blah blah blah (online poker) O8, blah blah blah (omaha 8) If people are interested in agreeing on some terms and prefacing headers on a regular basis, then I would be more than happy to follow suit (pun intended). - Nathaniel Brous

Point taken. There really isn't much that much traffic here.

But this is the only site that isn't blocked by my employer! ;)

(Don't tell, please!)
