how many online tables do you play at once, jdsalinger, 24. Apr 2003 16:49

| used to be only 2 games because that's all my laptop would fit on one screen without having to switch back and forth. Well got myself a new Dell laptop that does 1600x1200 and I've been playing 4 tables at once. First day I got it made $1100 in 4.5 hours. Thought the laptop was a god send. Well the next couple of days I've been pretty much even. Winning a 100 here losing 75 there etc. I'm starting to think that 4 tables at one time may not be a good strategy. Anyone play multiple tables and how many do you think should be the max? | ||

| I play mostly on party poker where you can play up to 3 games at one time. However, I feel that to really get a good feel for the game, and get a good read on my opponents it's better to just play in one game at a time. There are so many subtleties to poker that may be missed if you keep switching back and forth from game to game. 4 POKER | ||

| yeah but the high resolution makes it so that I can effectively view all 4 tables simultaneously. Besides I play so few hands that it is rare that I'm actively involved in more than 1 at a time. But of course you sometimes miss little details. I usually play like 2 at paradise, 1 at poker stars and 1 at aztec riches. | ||

| I generally play four at once too. I really have no problem as I generally also play so few hands that I never have a problem with switching back and forth. I also have pretty good records on the very good and very bad players so I don't think I miss too much playing multiple tables and the reward for increased hands per hour is much greater than any detriments I face. Hope you have continued good luck just not against me:) | ||

| I know you've got a pretty good record and I believe you stated that you've gone almost exclusively to online poker. Now my question is which poker sites do trust and which you don't? The more I play at paradise the less I start trusting the randomness of the cards. | ||

Personally me have less, just about 37,000 hands, but I may make the same conclusion - cards dealing at Paradise Poker is fair and proper. Soleo

| Links posted OK, you may simply click'em without copy/pasting. Both reports were generated by PokerStat software, I also use it to store hands statistics - very nice and powerful program. Soleo | ||

| This is NOT a flame :-) , but there are many multiple-table players that hold up the game and frustrate the rest of the players. You said that you play very few hands which facilitates playing multiple table. Would you mind posting what your starting requirements are? I have tried playing two tables, but the computer sometimes pulls me away from one table just as I click fold/call, and the action appears on the 2nd table. I have a 19" Dell monitor and do not have both tables on my screen at one time (dont even know if it is possible). Don Quixote on 24. | I'd rather play in one highish limit game that I'm beating than play simultaneously in 4 low limit games that I can barely beat because of my divided attention. Unless you are some kind of mathematical savant or have a photographic memory I would suggest that you'll make a 1 BB error ever hour in each game playing like this and that your profitability will not last. That said, if you are really able to get away with it, more power to you. | ||
