Is there a valid ranking of the players?? I say "valid" as I know that there is some type of points structure but have heard arguements that it doesn't take into affect those players that limit themselves to only some of the big tournaments.

Or we could just start a new thread (seems I had to do that anyway) and have everyone submit their top 20. Myself, I find it hard to get to know a player and how theyreally play when you only see them on TV once or twice a year.

Well, players who only play in big tournaments still play in the WSOP. Maybe you should look back at total money won over the years in WSOP. If I am not mistaken, Johnny Chan leads that one. Of course this will undervalue new players who are just coming into their own and making a name for themselves. Perhaps (money earned in the last 5 years X 5) + money earned previous to the last 5 years would make for a good handicapping of WSOP players.
