Anybody know of any good Voodoo rituals to break the curse of the "second best" hand?

Yes. Approach the next table you play at from the South. Spread out your fingers in front of you about waist high and wiggle them slightly. Repeat this phrase three times...."Hoo doo voo doo blackbird doo doo." The curse will break instantly. This also works against people who are frequently sucking out on you, except that you have to add the phrase "on you" and be facing your victim when you chant. :) -Nathaniel Brous

Sounds great. I'll have to try that. It the least I will provide entertainment for the card room. At best I'll have them laughing so hard they won't be able to see their cards straight.

:)

If your hand is second best then cut it off and cast it away.

Yes, I am going to hell. :)

I'll just stick a bucket on top of it and weigh the bucket down with a hefty copy of _A Farewell To Arms_

Your own hand is always second best to the hand of that special someone, but sometimes you just have to take what you can get. You could try lying on your arm for a while until your hand becomes numb and feels a little more like somebody else's. Less drastic than cutting it off I think.

The real quesion is, "If my left hand causes me to sin and I cut it off and cast it away and *THEN* my right hand causes me to sin, how do I cut it off?"

Not original - I stole that from Blackadder.

I would have thought you go to the second hand shop and get a new one. Boom boom.

I like the silver medal ceremony best. If you ever happen to end up second best to me just ask and I'll perform it for you .

The Cure-All:

Take a break,
Go outside,
Smoke a joint.

Relax.

Go back to the game.
Play some more.

Still second best?...

Smoke another joint.

4 POKER:)

The only thing that you can really do is let it run its course, unless you are playing too loose, in that case my advice would be to tighten up.
