| www.bugsys.com is being used as the poker room for www.thehendonmob.com and also as the poker room for www.pokerpages.com. This is a great site with probably one of the best table layouts I have seen. On the playing table there is "The Hendon Mob", because I signed in via thehendonmob. Does this mean that Bugsys supplies the poker venue to other specific websites? Just wondering. | ||

| I've read that it's a common practice for one poker "room" to serve as the base for several front end gateways. Each gateway gets a cut of the customers that they bring in. | ||

The software that Bugsy's uses was written, in-house by employees of Mark Napolatino (pokerpages.com). The core of this software is the same as has been in use by IRC Poker for a long time. The guy that wrote the dealer bots for IRC was hired to write the stuff for Mark. The in-house pokerpages software was originally written in Java, I don't know if that has changed. Back in the beginning pokerpages ran software from PokerSpot.com (now defunct) until they wrote their own. The in-house software was developed and tested on pokerpages.com to support Mark's vision that has since become PokerSchoolOnline.com. Mark has, in the past, insisted that he didn't develop the software to create a real-money play venture, only for PokerSchoolOnline. I don't know if Mark is behind the Bugsy's site or has merely licensed out his software and has it acting as a gateway. Mark and his wife Tina (both originally from the UK) have, within the last year, moved from Austin, TX to Spain to support a european office for PokerPages. As far as I know PokerPages still primarily operates out of Austin. Paul Stine College Station, TX | ||

| Oops, sorry, the site's real name is www.bugsysclub.com By the way, for beginners, ... the multitable tournaments here are challenging, free, and there are two levels (Round 1 and Round 2) to qualify for the Round 3 (May 10th I think ...) where the winner gets his/her way paid to a major international poker tournament of their choice. I have been fooling around playing in this and it is a blast. | ||
