| This was an active 15-30 holdem game, I had been playing for about 7 hours. Two players limped, I was In middle position with Kings, and I raised. Right after I announced raise and threw in my 30 dollars, another player near the button folded out of turn, and one of her cards flipped up, it was a king. Everyone folded too the BB who called, and the first limper called, and the second one reraised, he seemed to be playing pretty solid, and with a dead king, I decided to just call. Everyon else called. The flop was J84 rainbow, They all checked too me, so I bet and the BB called, the first limper folded, and the second one checkraised, I called as did the BB. The turn was the miracle card, the king. The BB checked, the limper bet, and I raised, the BB folded and the limper looked disgusted and called. The river was a blank, and he check called me, and showed me his two aces. He remembered the king that had been exposed, and told me how lucky I got, I couldn't deny it. He was a young asian player who seemed pretty friendly, but that hand seemed to really bother him. I had made a gut shot on him earlier, and hit a flush on the river against his set of sevens. I'ts weird how the cards come out sometimes and you end up picking on certain players, and can't do anything about it. I would have rather put some beats on some of the fish sitting there who played every hand almost and drew out on me several times, instead of picking on the friendly asian kid trying to play good, but oh well, I guess you take what you can get. | ||

| Don't worry. If you play well, you will have many more beats put on you than the other way around. | ||

| The chances are that if his aces would had held up he would not have told you that you played badly considering the dead king. That being said, he seems to have had a pretty good read on you. I don't think that the K on the turn would have disgusted him, otherwise. If he had you on AK, the K on the turn would not have mattered. You might have betrayed your hand when the K was exposed. | Right you are Pablo I've seen otherwise stone faced stud players go loopie when their cards die all at once. Of course I never do this unless its a reverse tell. timmer on 20. | What was it that Spaulding said? "If a player makes a good play, don't say, 'good play,' or something like that. Instead tell him how stupid he is. Then he won't do it again." Just because somebody tells you that you're lucky and stupid doesn't make them right. You did fine on this hand. | ||
