BB WR per hour for LL holdem, Don Quixote, 19. Apr 2003 11:53

I play .50./$1 and once in a while $1/2. My win rate for just over 5000 hands is just over 2 BB per hour. Is this about right for these micro limits, or should it be higher?

Thanks in advance.

Don Quixote

p.s. I am not interested in making lots of money. Poker is just a hobby for me and a great way to pass the time for an old retired widower.

It could be higher, but 2 BB/hr. is doing just fine.

Since you're playing on-line you are getting about twice as many hands as in a live game. Thus 2 BB is appropriate. You might want to dip your toe in the water at a higher limit, but it isn't like you're crushifying the .5-1 and 1-2 entirely. If you were making 3 BB/hour then you might really consider a move up more seriously.
