For almost a year now, PlanetPoker has been promising a new version of the software. I especially look forward to being able to play more than one table at a time.

Meanwhile, the number of players playing live games has steadily declined, ever since you discontinued bad beat jackpots.

While I have been one of your most steadfast customers, I am now spending more and more time at other sites.

Unless PP does something to regain credibility with me and the other regular players, I see no end to the decline.

In defense of ANY promised upgrades, it often takes time and consider the fact that Ultimatebet (backgrounds for example) has upgraded and a few "super" playing sites (www.bugsys.com) with "new" table layouts and ways to count down cards on showdowns are likely to make software teams rethink upgrades. It is not for me to make excuses, but I think that there is a LOT going on in the world of online play and customers have to be assured the site works with zero glitches. Partypoker is a fine site but experienced no end of problems with buggy software until it got fixed. Patience, like waiting for a good hand, seems to be the ticket here.

Hi, iykisa --

Thanks for your comments. You're right about the delays and about the fact that we had hoped to offer the ability to play more than one table at once before now. Please be patient. We appreciate your play, and more enhancements are on the horizon.

Planet Poker has made numerous improvements during the past year, although most have been incremental and spread out over a number of downloaded upgrades. There are features some players (including myself) have been asking for that haven't appeared yet. Stay tuned.

For what it's worth, both the number of players and the daily revenues at Planet Poker have been increasing, not decreasing, and that's comforting to us at a time when there is much more competition than there was previously.

We will probably reinstate bad-beat jackpots now and then, because you aren't the only one asking for them, but we have been focusing on other promotions recently, especially tournaments.

It's a good thing that you're investigating other sites, too. We want you to compare and we think that we have a lot to offer right now, but -- soon -- even you will be happier about our cardroom. :-)

Straight Flushes,
Mike Caro

I would really look at tournys, i know they dont make the dough so quick but i presume for a business like yours there is only a certain ammount of saturation in the market anyway ie once you have the money you get most of it back eventualy anyway and so cash game / tourny's the key is getting " bums of seats "

As i said a lot of people get into sites by playing tournys ( i always ask stuff like this to players at any site )

Cheers

PS I know you probably dont want this site to be an open forum for Planet Poker but it is good a place as any to get feedback and if people are willing to give it then i would take it !

What is your definition of "soon"?

I've been playing almost exclusively at pokerroom and planet poker for the last year or so. I have tried a few other site but didn't like their slow speeds.

However, i just tried Paradise Poker yesterday and really like. I think planet poker has better/simpler graphics, but Paradise has alot of people playing all sorts of games, all the time.

The availability of multiple tables at multiple limits is far greater at paradise than at planet. While i don't like the graphics at paradise, the number of different games is enough in itself for me to start spending more time at paradise.

I still go to planet for some games, but i know there is always a game at paradise.
