| I think my first post was either unclear or (more likely) not all that interesting. I will try to clarify for any who were interested. Quitting smoking takes a deliberate, difficult effort. So does playing you best game. Most smokers realize that smoking is bad and continue to do so. Most poker players realize that they have bad leaks yet continue with them. Each time you smoke or consciously play badly, you give something up in the short-term that has a huge effect in the long term. Each cigarette you don't smoke saves you money and a part of your life. Each bad play you don't continue with saves you money and a part of your bankroll. The idea is old and can be attributed to Benjamin Franklin. "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." Now substitute some words and you get... They that can give up a portion of their bankroll to obtain a little short-term happiness deserve neither their bankroll nor happiness. Pardon the esoteric stretch here. - Nathaniel Brous | ||

| I think that you draw a nice paralell and I think that (this time) it is very well worded. May you chase your flush draw with a made low heads up against an opponent with a known no low. | ||
