Well it took some guts for someone as conservative and skeptical as myself. But this weekend I finally tried online poker. And was pleasently surprised. I couldn't believe how much a 25¢-50¢ table online played like a $5-$10 at the casinos. Everyone was so tight. Less than half stayed for the flop and less than half the games went to a showdown. Even took my took my $50 to $80 in the first two hours. Thought I was "the man". Thought "this is too easy". Then got grounded quickly when I went on to lose all those winnings. But got grounded. Went back to the original game plan. And now it is back up to $80. But I just gotta say again that I was really impressed. Now if I can only build my mighty empire up to $100 I may try the $1-$2 games!! :)

Thanks everyone for the great posts that I read much of but contribute little to.

Glad I could be of help. Good luck, and remember not to throw caution to the wind.

A tight .25/.50 game? I wouldn't expect this to be very typical (at least in my experience), good for you though for making the adjustments and coming out on top.

welcome to the club,
