| Playing in Pokerstars $30 limit tourney tonight. At the 100/200 level I pick up AK in the cutoff, raise and BB calls. flop comes rags, he checks, I bet he calls, turn 2, he checks I bet he call. River inconsequential. He checks I bet with A high he calls with 7/2o and wins. How can he do this? As a side note he is a winning tourney player on stars. Next hand I get KK and raise after it is folded to me and get called by big blind. Make a long story short he has 2/4 suited, flops and rivers a 2 to eliminate me. This is the way my last 10 or so tournies on stars have gone, beat holding premium hands to absolute trash that NO competent or even fishy player would play. I am starting to wonder about the security of the stars shuffle, not the integrity of the site but the security of the shuffle. OK I'm through. (At the same time the tourney was going on I won over $80 in the 2/4 ring game, lol.) | ||

Never underestimate the ability of anyone to play badly after the flop. 3. Suffering bad beats is an indicator of strong play. (Although, I don't think either of these are particularly bad beats.) 4. What are you doing playing a ring game while playing a tournament? How can you fully concentrate on either while doing both? Paul Stine College Station, TX | ||
