| Hello anyone, PP have a promo on at the moment which pays points for winning HANDS based on the number of people at the table. Having now played here for about 2 hours it has become apparent that people are playing even looser than before and calling pre flop with even worse hands than ever ! The games seem to have more people playing preflop ( though not raising ) and then always at least two people chasing it down to the river ! Can anyone advise me how i should adjust my game do i loosen up myself, tighten up and only steam in with good hands, do i play those connectors more, do i need to ensure my hand is suited more often. I believe i should try and sneak into more cheap flops and not be so aggrsive with marginal hands ? Any advice mucho appreiated. Cheers CP PS My aim is to win money not pots for the promo. | ||

| I was playing there myself earlier today. That was the very best game I have ever played in. I think you hit it on the head. If you are going to get enough action, play more suited connectors and hands that can flop a monster or big draw. I would think it is wise to be a little less agressive with marginal hands since agression will not scare anyone out. On the other hand, realize that you do have to get your money in the pot when you have a real hand. This may not be correct for all games and it is certainly dependent upon the competition your up against, but betting less than stellar hands on the river for value seemed to be more profitable than usual. Just my two nickles. gl | ||

AA is still a monster, but stuff like AJ becomes less desireable unless you can flop 2 pair. Generally speaking, there are going to be monster hands winning most of the pots. Play hands like suited connectors and pocket pairs, but follow the no set - no bet rule with the pocket pairs. Sit tight and take down the occasional monster pot...games like this will be swingy though and you'll have a lot more bad beats happen than normal. | ||

| PARADISE POKER IS TAKING A RAKE CORRECT? THE MORE PEOPLE IN THE POT, THE MORE TIMES THEY CAN TAKE THE MAXIMUM RAKE. DO NOT CHANGE YOUR SOLID PLAY JUST TO TRY TO WIN SOME SILLY BONUS. YOU CAN WIND UP LOSING YOUR WHOLE BANKROLL. IF YOU WIN THE BONUS POINTS THEN GOOD FOR YOU, BUT PLEASE DO NOT BE FOOLED BY ON-LINE BONUSES THAT WILL CAUSE YOU TO PLAY ANYTHING THEN A SOLID GAME OF POKER. | ||

| Don't worry 1) i mostly play tourny's and2) i was just tyring to work out how other people will adjust there game for the promo. Anyway if you really wanted to win the promo thing all you do is get 9 of your mates to continualy let you win pre flop ( no flop, no drop ) as that would give you the points in no time at all, of course some might say that was cheating... | ||
