| Hi all I was wondering if anyone has Roy's book, "The Play of Hands" (i think that is the correct name but i'm not sure) If anyone does have it (or Roy), can you give me a description of the content, how it is presented, and who the book is intended for? i'm intrigged by the title. I assume it involves the common way in which hands are played (e.g. for hold'em - top pair strong kicker usually comes out betting and doen't get raised unless someone has 2 pair) anyway can someone give me some idea as to how useful the book is? There are couple of books i still have to get and was wondering where on the list it should go. Super System is on its way and when i finish reading it 2 or 3 times, i'm going to order Sklansky's HFAP and Brier and Ciafonne(?)'s Middle limit hold'em. There are alot of other books on my to get list, the Zen of Poker, Big Deal, Slim's new book, i need something on omaha,etc. Where should Roy's book rank in there? Roy, if you have an idea as to where your book should go, i would appreciate it hearing it. Thanks all mark | ||

| I am reading Roy's book as wee speak and i must say it is quite good. It describes roy's thought process on certain hands. the book has had me think on another level during my play and I thank Roy for writing it, I would recomend this book to everyone except those playing in my games. | ||

| Roy has authored two books. One is entitled Real Poker I - The Cooke Collection and, the other, Real Poker II The Play of the Hands. I have read them both numerious times and can recommend them both. I plan on reading them again soon now that Im off work and playing more live and online poker. timmer on 28.
