I'm sure that a lot of people will hate this, but hear me out.

Recently I felt as though a few deals in a casino (which name will be left anonymous) were cheating...time after time, hands that didn't belong would pull off miracle runner runner gut shots and be raising the entire way. Not to mention one of these dealers dealt more than his fair share of Jackpots in less than 3 months.
Well, it turns out that I wasn't paranoid; the casino caught one of them stacking cards and fired him on the spot. One of my problems with this situation is that there are still two other dealers that work there and continue to pull off some shady maneuvers...but I have no way of proving it.

And is it possible that this type of thing happens all over the place, but no one ever catches it?

Nowadays, I'm constantly paranoid of dealers cheating. I’m constantly asking myself questions like, why did that guy call my obvious pair of Aces or Kings (raised pre-flop with AK and betting the entire way after I flop A or K) to the river with a small pair only to catch his lousy kicker at the end to make two pair?

Any advice or comments are appreciated.
Thanks.

[I tried to quote your post but I got a VBScript error when I tried to send the message.]

First, never underestimate poker players ability to lie to themselves about their hand, your hand or anyone else hand for that matter. Like JV said, "They didn't drive all the way from Pacoima to fold." The vast majority of poker players live to get lucky and you can't get lucky if you fold.

Second, if you are uncomfortable about where you play, why play there? If you are tempted to reply that, "It is the only game around." maybe you ought to review why it is you play in the first place.

Your suspicion/paranoia can't help your game because it serves to distract you from the things on which you need to be concentrating.

It only make sense.

I've once encountered a dealer that I thought was stacking and I think the he was doing it with the casino's knowledge. He was an excellent dealer in every way and extremely fast and precise. He came in out of rotation and was holding the pack in a mechanics grip. I got suspicions and started staring at his hands whenever he was throwing cards. I have no idea if he was bottom dealing or throwing seconds because I'm not an expert in that sort of thing, but I do know that I stared at him for 20 minutes and then he shifted out.

I figure it this way - if you suspect cheating, don't be the hell out of the second nuts when the ubernuts is really unlikely and stare at the cheating dealer. Nobody wants to be caught cheating, so if they think they are getting undue concern, they are going to stop. I'd never go as far as to accuse somebody (especially in a shadier place) and at the worst, I'll go find another game someplace else.

If your are not comfotabel with the integrity of the game I would reccomend not playing there. That type of distraction will have you second guessing your every move. If it is the only game in town, I would suggest playing online. Good luck.

I couldn't agree with you more and had it persisted, there would have been a puff of smoke at the table in the shape of stdioh, but as it was, I really did want to sit at that table because damn hell the other players were terrible.

I must also admit, that I'm the sort that others call paranoid (and occaisionally it pays off), so I'm not one to leave a berry patch too quickly. 20 minutes and the guy was gone and the table maintained its wonderfulness.
