| Is this betting sequence automatic? As I play low limits, I don't try to be too fancy. 4 limpers and I pay half a small bet with AJo in the SB. BB check. Flop: 7 8 T rainbow. Check to a MP player who bet. All but one call. 5 handed. Turn: Q Check to LP player who bets. All but one call. 4 handed. River: K I bet. Everyone folds. | ||

| The first time that I read through the hand I was not sure about your call on the turn. However, I now think that it was OK. You had 7 probable outs (4 kings, 3 aces), so you are a little better than 6:1 against hitting. There were 6 big bets in the pot when you called, really you were looking for one more on the river if you hit, to pay the rake and toke. Given all of the calling earlier in the hand I am surprised you didn't pick that one up. I would put the MP flop bettor on either a ten (probably with a king or an ace) or on some kind of straight draw (89 perehaps). NB. if MP bettor had AT then you only had 4 outs on the turn. Posting to see if my reasoning stands up. Snorbolus | ||

Everyone folds. I think you played the hand well. You had correct pot odds to call the whole way through and on the turn you had a double belly buster, the 9 or k made a straight. I would have tried for a check raise on the river. mark

Everyone folds. I would definitely have raised the AJo in the SB. I think your call on the turn was mildly questionable, but not bad...had you raised preflop then you'd have had better pot odds to call there.
