| Would anyone be able to tell me the two most common types of poker played in the Northeastern section of the U.S.? I am just starting to learn and would like to be able to play more than one. | ||

| (IMHO) Hold'em and Stud are the top two pretty much everywhere, at least in casinos. | ||

Paul Stine College Station, TX To Mary (and Paul), As of two and a half years ago, Stud was still king in the Northeast with Holdem slowly gaining ground. If you are going to play in A.C., I would concentrate on those two first. You will at least have a better table and limit selection. | HI, I LIVE IN NEW JERSEY AND HAVE BEEN PLAYING POKER FOR OVER TEN YEARS AND THE TWO MOST WIDE SPREAD GAMES IN THE NORTHEAST ARE SEVEN CARD STUD AND TEXAS HOLD-EM. THAT INCLUDES ATLANTIC CITY AND FOXWOODS. THEY ALSO SPREAD SOME OMAHA AND STUD 8 OR BETTER, BUT YOUR BIGGEST SELECTION WILL COME FROM STUD AND HOLDEM. GET SOME GOOD BOOKS, STUDY, AND GOOD LUCK!
