Long Run Hand Values, CrazyAzn, 5. Mar 2003 07:54

Ive often read that AA is worth 4 times the blinds so it is a catastrophe to merely steal the blinds w/ AA.
Ive also read that hands like AQ and below are not worth more than the Blinds so the best thing that can happen is that u steal the blinds.

How do people come up w/ these long run Values of hands? I of course understand the difference b/t multiway value, shorthanded value, and Hot and cold value. I think i have a firm grasp on multiway, and Hot & cold hand values... but i dont understand how to evaluate the hand values in a shorthanded environment. I usually just default to Hot and Cold values since there is very rarely multiway action in shorthanded play.

thanks
peter
