The only sites I've played at are Planet, Pokerroom, and pokerstars. Can someone fill me in on Part Poker, I just downloaded their software and it seems pretty nice...just wondering about the games in relation to the other sites I play at. I play holdem, usually low limit or no limit with a $50 buy-in.

Thanks,
jHE

I have been playing a lot at Partypoker, low limit and (coincidence ...) $50 NL. It is a good environment and I have always enjoyed my games. The usual trappy play at the NL table, but then again, surprise, surprise. Personally I find the PPM III (Partypoker millions III qualification tournaments and semifinal competitions a lot of fun. The range of players goes from gills to wings. Always seems to be a few people in the $50 NL tournament trying to take over the table, ... they leave their money, so from that perspective it may be a good table.

The site is very friendly generally and I enjoy playing there.

The low limit is way easier than Pokerstars and maybe just a little tougher than Pokerroom. The NL/PL is WAAAAAAAY easier than Pokerstars. I don't play Party much anymore because I really just don't like their software and I got soured on the place after the opening night of the PPM II second semi's fiasco. Is a good site though with fast cashouts and lots of players that make those cashouts frequent.

Thanks for the advice guys. Looking forward to buying in.

Was watching some NL today and you guys are definately right...one guy in particular was just crushing the table, playing smart and agressively when he had the cards...he ended up doubling up several times (I think he left with like $300+ in a $25 buy-in), including getting his $100+ bet with a nut straight called by some schmoe with with two pair (and sadly the schmoe had the chips to call...).

can't wait,
jHE

What you observed is business as usual at Partypoker. I have wondered why there was such a lush variety of poker players there, and some truely stellar bad players. I think that Partypoker's strength is that their PPM cruise qualifier attracts more mainstream players and recreational players. Very friendly tables and the range of, ... err, ... players, ... makes it a profitable time. Beware the $50 NL, as there are some strong players there and they lay in wait for the unwary. gl.
