| I Have read and study and played poker about a year now.I started with low limit 7 card stud and always did well winning $200+ a session the first 5 hrs but not knowing when to quit and giving it back by the end.They say quit only when your not as good as your competition but what about the luck of low limit chasers that hit over and over on river when odds are against them. I started playing low limit holdem and fell in love with game but same results. I recently went to no limit holdem on the net 50.00 or 100.00 max buy in and same results. I drown in the river repeatedly. Example of recent no limit fun. I hold 55 preflop bet up to represent high pair preflop- two see me -the flop aa5 - one stays in -I read him for ace and highcard-I go all in to close it out -he sees me and hits j on river pairing his jack -example 2 I have ak bet up on preflop-flop jt clubs and q off suit -i know he is chasing flush -i have so far the nuts with my strgt -all in again river the club flushed down and out again.My question is if your on no limit internet 50 or 100 max what kind of bankroll will weather these constant beats and when you have the nuts with on or two cards coming that can change that and all too often does what should i be doing?? if skill makes you a winner in the long run how long can luck over ride sound playing? I can only get beat one way by one card that usually has about a 20 to 30 percent chance of hitting but hit 80 to 90 percent of the time . I have also bet up aa preflop to be beat by two pair on all ins preflop-thanks chris | ||

| Use an overall strategy of doubling or tripling your buy-in, then get out. Go back to the game if you want, with just your original buy-in. | ||
