Draw to Hold em, Wilky, 18. Feb 2003 07:56

Perhaps Mike Caro is the best person to answer this question but would like others input as well.

I am a winning Draw poker player (4-5 big bets an hour) on line. However when I switch to holdem my bankroll takes a hit. One of my conclusions is I am more selective in my starting hands in draw poker then Hold em. I also find myself calling much more often in Hold em then I probably should as in Draw bluffing is a huge part of the game. Seems like only 15-20% of the time I am correct in my bluff calls in Holdem comparted to 50+% in Draw. Also, since Holdem has more betting rounds its much more costly to call to the river.

Any suggestions on what I should or shouldn't apply from my winning Draw game to Limit Hold em?

Thanks in advance for any/all responses.
