Last week I found my self on the Gulf coast trying to book passage to Costa Rica on a frieghter. (I won't fly)
In between enjoying the beautiful white beaches, the awsome sunsets, and great sea food; I played in the daily tournements offered at a major hotel/casino that shall go unnamed.
In one such tourn, I found my self in 8th place @ final table that only paid 6 places.
The blinds were $2000. &$1000. I was on the button with 4 thou
left when I looked @ AA.
Man, I thought, It couldnt have come at a better time. I'LL raise and go all in, win the pot and have enough chips to make it into the money.
Then I looked around the table and reassessed my situation
and reconsidered my options.
What do you think I saw? How do you think it effected my play and the final out come?

just trying to make a name for myself in an ever increasing field

How could you not go all in there? You can expect that other players will have no respect for your tiny stack, so you should have at minimum one caller and you are a giant favourite. What kind of deceptive thing could possibly be worth doing anything else?

I'm sure there were 2 or 3 short-stacked players in front of him that would "theoretically" be blinded off before him.

If he folds his Aces, he thinks he can limp into the money.

There are 2 problems with that theory, though. 1 or 2 of the short-stacked players may win their blinds, which would mean HE may become the short-stacked player. And 2, if he goes from 4000 to 9000 or even 10000 then he has a good chance of winning it all which pays much better than 6th. Unless there are at least 3 players with shorter stacks than him, he should just go all in and hope everybody folds. Then with 7000, he can just sit back and let the short-stacks die off.
