| I have had a lot of fun this year at partypoker, in their freerolls multitable tournaments (won one, lightning struck!). Their poker cruise qualification tournaments for the PPM (Partypoker millions) cruise that Kathy Leibert won last year ($1,000,000!) are well structured and can be won (I did not). You can qualify with NL and limit single table tournaments ($25 entry) and if you win, you advance to the semifinals, if you are 2nd or 3rd, you get a free entry to another qualifier. You can qualify up to four times for one semifinal. There are three semifinals, so it is a nice, broad, path. The semifinals are all limit multitables with 300 - 400 players on average. Hopefully next year the semifinals will also have NL formats, since the cruise PPM tournament is NL. Games are good with a pretty large range of player types there. SOme really fun people (bugman98, RAT666, etc) that add being friendly and interesting to being good players. I really like the table format. They have had their share of software problems but have always compensated the players affected perfectly. One Semifinal had to be halted and rescheduled. Everyone was reseeded in the new event with the chips they started with AND they put together a special closed freeroll with a $1,000+ prizefund for all the affected players. Floor people very formal and polite, very quick. Hope this "more in depth" talk helps you. | ||
