| I have played many online poker sites and you can obviously chat to the players. Many times even after begging some of the players will not even say "hello". Makes you wonder if they are real players or computer generated???? "nh" followed by a "ty" maybe programmed in to the software!! what are your thoughts? | ||

| I often play online away from my keyboard. The mouse is ni my hand but the keyboard may be inaccesable on the other side of the room. Also sometimes I play while riding my exercycle. Mouse in hand but keyboard not available. People sometimes appear miffed that I don't acknowledge their nh or even respond to anything. I have had players start insulting me trying to get a response. But no response is coming because the keyboard isnt accessable right now. Screw 'em, I'm there to play, not chat besides maybe my silence will tilt them out in some way :) | ||

| There might be a compatibility issue on their system. I always play on pokerroom because I have a MAC. I can do everything else just fine, but for some strange reason I can't chat. The cursor in the text box isn't even blinking. So it might seem rude that they don't reply, but if it's me, it's just because I can't. Also, sometimes people won't have the chat box on, and won't even see that you've spoken to them. I doubt any "computer" players exist, because they would pay no rake, also it's in the best interest of the card room operator for you to come back. | ||

| I think a lot of players turn off the chat altogether. So even though you are "begging" them to type, they may not be seeing the message. | ||

| I know a few foreign players have problems with English and just don't care or will milk it for all it's worth. I played with Greekmaster tonight, who sucked out some AMAZING draws....and had several comments made against him...and he never said a word. He was also the chip leader with 5 to go and he ended up busting out 1st....those lucky draws in the end didn't help him. I don't believe a bot can play better then a person in the field of PL/NL, and maybe not even in fixed games where the rules and variance are more straightforward. If a person could program a bot to play that well, then they could probably make more money doing it themselves. or if I had such a computer program...I'd merely run it on the side while playing so I could still type comments.... I say bring on the bots...leave out crooked deals....LOL - but I'm not scared of bots, esp written by players.. | Beware Skeetman, You will encounter every thing in an on-line poker room that u will in a B/M one. Props, Shills, collusion between players, collusion between player and dealers. favoritism and discrimanation. But I dont think u will find "Bots". suggestion: stop playing for a while and just watch. Watch for hrs if u can. Sit back and get an overview. Take note of players comming and going. | I don't know about you, but my typing skills aren't good enough to type in a sentence before the next hands starts. I would also turn off the chat as soon as someone starts to swear. | ||

| lol - some nights I drive people nuts with my jolly attitude at the table. Others I just recline back in me leather chair with mouse on armrest saying "I'm a lucky player. A winning force surrounds me" every hand and don't respond to anyone. Unless a players been givn me the needle and i've just sucked out a runner, runner flush on him. Then I might blow them a kiss or something -) | ||

| I only chat when I'm sitting out the round and sometimes I will turn the chat off compleatly if there's just too much of it. Those chat sounds on PP can be very annoying when they're overused. | ||
