| I am currently a manager at a casino in Niagara Falls and an avid poker player. I am putting together a presentation on poker, specifically Texas Hold'em, to try and convince upper management to open a poker room. If anyone has any facts, statistics or other info that may be persuasive or otherwise helpful it would be greatly appreciated, and may help further the growth of poker. | ||

| Bryan, The only casinos I go to any more are the ones that have poker rooms, so they are the only ones with shots at my moolah. Same for my wife, an avid slots player. I suspect that, for those poker players who also like to gamble at the tables, this is true for almost all of them | ||

| Your best bet is to speak with a the manager of a cardroom in your area who hosts hold 'em. It's my understanding that 7-card stud is the bigger game in the east. Also what about Omaha? | ||

| Yeah, I won't go to a casino either unless there is poker involved. Also, my GF plays slots, so the only casinos she goes to are ones with poker rooms too. She putting money in the machines while I'm at the tables. | ||

| Also, I think poker brings in new people to your casino. Poker is probably the most played card game in America, a lot of people who just play on the kitchen table with friends will want to try their hand at the next level. In addition, there has been an explosion of people who play poker online, but many just play there because there isn't a place to play live poker handy. You want those people in your casino too. Also, hosting tournaments on occasion can draw a LOT of people in who want to win big money. | ||
